Safety Belt Buckle

The front row safety belt buckles are used in conjunction with the safety belt retractors.

The safety belt buckles also contain switches (driver and passenger) and BTS  (passenger only) which are used as sensing devices for the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS).

REFER to AIRBAG AND SAFETY BELT PRETENSIONER SRS to diagnose any safety belt buckle switch DTCs  or REFER to AIRBAG AND SAFETY BELT PRETENSIONER SRS to diagnose any BTS DTCs  . For any concerns regarding safety belt buckle function, REFER to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM, SYMPTOM CHART: SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .
