Degas Bottle: Installation

- Position the degas bottle in the vehicle and install the bolts.
- Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
- Connect the lower radiator hose (2.0L GTDI ) or the degas bottle-to-coolant inlet tube hose (3.5L Twin Independent Variable Cam Timing (Ti-VCT), 3.7L Twin Independent Variable Cam Timing (Ti-VCT), 3.5L GTDI )) and position the clamp.
- Connect the degas bottle-to-thermostat housing and position the clamp.
- Connect the degas bottle-to-upper radiator hose to the degas bottle. (3.5L GTDI )
- Attach the A/C line pushpin to the degas bottle.
- Remove the hose pinch pliers.

NOTE: Use Motorcraft® Orange Antifreeze/Coolant. Do not mix coolant types. Mixing coolant types degrades the coolant corrosion protection and may damage the engine or cooling system.
Fill the degas bottle to the cold fill range with Motorcraft® Orange Antifreeze/Coolant Prediluted.
