Coolant Pump - 2.0L GTDI: Installation

All vehicles 

NOTE: Early build vehicle shown in illustration, late build vehicle similar.
  1. NOTE: Use Motorcraft® Orange Antifreeze/Coolant. Do not mix coolant types. Mixing coolant types degrades the coolant corrosion protection and may damage the engine or cooling system.
    1. Apply clean engine coolant.
    2. Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

    • Finger-tight.

    Late build vehicles 

  2. NOTE: After installation, make sure the accessory drive belt is correctly seated on all pulleys.

    • Tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).
