Removal and Installation

  1. Open the glove compartment.
  2. Release the glove compartment stop and lower the glove compartment.

  3. If equipped, remove the telematics module. For additional information, Refer to the appropriate article for the procedure.
  4. Remove the 2 Inertia Fuel Shutoff (IFS) switch bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb-in) .
  5. Disconnect the IFS switch electrical connector and remove the IFS switch from the vehicle.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
