Seat Backrest - 60 Percent: Installation

- Position the backrest and hand start all the recliner-to-backrest frame bolts and the pivot bolt.
- Install the bolts in the following sequence.
- Install the inboard recliner-to-backrest frame lower bolt.
- Tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).
- Install the inboard recliner-to-backrest frame upper bolt.
- Tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).
- Install the 2 outboard recliner-to-backrest bolts.
- Tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).
- Install the pivot bolt.
- Tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).
- Install the inboard recliner-to-backrest frame lower bolt.
- Position the inboard pivot cover and install the 3 inboard pivot cover screws.
- Install the outboard pivot cover.
- Position the safety belt anchor to the inboard recliner and install the bolt.
- Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Reposition the backrest foam pad and cover around the backrest frame.
- If equipped with an armrest, attach the J-clips in the armrest pocket.
- If equipped, install the armrest. Refer to ARMREST .
- Close the backrest cover.
- Attach the hook-and-loop strips, install the 4 pin-type retainers and attach all the J-clips.
- Position the cushion foam pad and cover assembly back on the cushion frame.
- Attach all the cushion cover retainers and J-clips.
- Install the 60 percent seat. Refer to SEAT .
