Seat Backrest: Disassembly

NOTE: For parts identification and location, Refer to SEAT EXPLODED VIEW 
  1. Remove the seat backrest cover. Refer to SEAT BACKREST COVER .
  2. If equipped, disconnect the backrest heater mat electrical connector and separate the pin-type retainer.

  3. If equipped, remove the backrest TED  .
    • Disconnect the electrical connector and separate the pin-type retainer.
    • Disengage the TED  from the backrest frame wire.
    • Disengage the backrest TED  from the backrest foam pad wire.
    • Slide the TED  out from between the power lumbar and cable.

  4. If equipped, remove the manual lumbar.
    • Remove the manual lumbar control cable retainer.
    • Disengage the manual lumbar retainers.

  5. If equipped, remove the power lumbar.
    • Disconnect the motor and disengage the retaining clips.

  6. Remove the 2 pin-type retainers.
  7. Remove the backrest foam pad from the backrest frame.
