Parking Brake Control: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. REFER to JACKING AND LIFTING
  2. Release the tension on the parking brake cable. Refer to PARKING BRAKE CABLE TENSION RELEASE .
  3. Remove the BCM-B and bracket. REFER to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) - WITH INTELLIGENT ACCESS , REFER to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) - WITHOUT INTELLIGENT ACCESS
  4. Remove the scuff plate trim panel and the lower cowl side trim panel. REFER to SCUFF PLATE TRIM PANEL
  5. Disconnect the parking brake switch electrical connector.
  6. Remove the parking brake control nut.
  7. Remove the 2 parking brake control bolts.
  8. Position the carpet aside and position the cable conduit grommet through the floor.
  9. Remove the parking brake control and front cable assembly.
