Transmission Range (TR) Sensor: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
- Disconnect the selector lever cable end.
- Remove the transmission fluid pan, gasket and filter. For additional information, refer to FLUID PAN, GASKET AND FILTER .
- Disconnect the Transmission Range (TR) sensor.

NOTE: The pin should be driven up through the manual valve.
Remove and discard the manual control valve detent lever shaft retaining pin.
- Using the Roll Pin Set, remove the manual control lever shaft retaining pin.

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the manual control lever bore. - Remove the manual control lever shaft assembly.
- Remove the TR sensor and detent lever assembly.
- Remove the bolts.
- Remove the TR sensor and detent lever assembly.
- Disconnect the park rod from the detent lever assembly.
