Oil Pan - Upper: Removal

- Remove the oil level indicator.
- Remove the flexplate. For additional information refer to FLEXPLATE .
- Remove the oil cooler. For additional information, refer to OIL COOLER .
- Remove and discard the oil filter.
- Disconnect the Engine Oil Temperature (EOT) sensor and Engine Oil Pressure (EOP) switch electrical connectors.
- Remove the nut from the oil filter header and position aside the engine wire harness.
- Remove the nut and position aside the transmission cooler tubes.
- Remove the nut and position aside the side engine wire harness.
- Remove the 2 nuts from the front of the engine and position the engine wire harness aside.
- Remove the 25 bolts and the upper oil pan.
- Remove and discard the gasket.
- Clean and inspect the sealing surfaces.
