Exhaust Y-Pipe - 3.7L Ti-VCT: Removal

Before beginning any service procedure, refer to SAFETY WARNINGS
. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.
NOTE:
Do not excessively bend, twist or allow the exhaust to hang from the flexible joint or damage to the exhaust system may occur.
NOTE:
Always install new nuts and gaskets. Clean flange faces prior to new gasket installation to make sure of correct sealing.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. REFER to JACKING AND LIFTING , Lifting Points.
- If equipped, detach the 3 retainers and remove the splash shield.

Remove the exhaust Y-pipe-to-muffler and tailpipe flange nuts.
- Remove and discard the 2 exhaust Y-pipe-to-Left Hand (LH) catalytic converter manifold nuts and gasket.
- Remove and discard the 2 exhaust Y-pipe-to-Right Hand (RH) catalytic converter manifold nuts.
