Main Control Cover - 3.5L GTDI: Installation

  1. Check for damage. Visual check.

  2. NOTE: Install the studbolts in the correct locations as noted during disassembly.

    Loosely install the bolts.

  3. Tighten the main control cover bolts in the sequence shown in illustration.
    • Tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).

    • Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

  7. If equipped.
    • Tighten to 70 Nm (52 lb-in).

  9. Fill the transaxle with clean transmission fluid. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID DRAIN AND REFILL .
  10. Install the ACL  and outlet pipe. REFER to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM & INTAKE AIR FILTERING SYSTEM .
