Transmission Case Bushing: Removal

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, refer to SAFETY WARNINGS . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.
  1. Remove the 4 retainers and the underbody shield.

  2. Remove the front LH  halfshaft. Refer to HALFSHAFT SEAL - LH .
  3. NOTE: Leave the drain plug out after the transmission fluid drains. The drain plug will need to remain out to clean any debris from the damaged or worn bushing.

    Remove the drain plug and drain the transmission.

  4. Install 205-D015 D80L-630-4 in the differential carrier.

  5. Using 308-070 T77L-7697-E remove the LH  halfshaft bushing.

  6. Remove 205-D015 D80L-630-4 from the differential carrier.
