Oil Pump: Removal

- With the engine in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. REFER to JACKING AND LIFTING .
- Remove the oil level indicator.
- Remove the engine front cover. Refer to ENGINE FRONT COVER .
- Using 303-F072, support the engine.
- Disconnect the 2 A/C compressor electrical connectors.
- Remove the A/C compressor nut, stud and the 2 bolts.
- Remove the drain plug and drain the engine oil.
- Remove the 3 bellhousing-to-oil pan bolts.
- Remove the oil pan-to-bellhousing bolt.
- Remove the 13 bolts and the oil pan.
- Remove the 2 bolts and the oil pump screen and pickup tube.
- Remove the oil pump drive chain tensioner.
- Remove the bolt and oil pump sprocket.
- Remove the 4 bolts and the oil pump.
