Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the steering column opening trim panel. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL - EXPLODED VIEW .
  2. Remove the 3 screws and the lower steering column shroud.
  3. Disconnect the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) transceiver electrical connector.
  4. Release the clips and remove the PATS transceiver.
  5. NOTE: Replacement of the PATS transceiver does not require the Integrated Keyhead Transmitters (IKTs) to be programmed into the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) again.

    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
