Oil Pump: Installation

  1. NOTE: Do not use metal scrapers, wire brushes, power abrasive discs or other abrasive means to clean the sealing surfaces. These tools cause scratches and gouges which make leak paths.

    Clean the sealing surfaces with metal surface prep. Follow the directions on the packaging.

    • Inspect the mating surfaces.
  2. Install the oil pump and 3 bolts. Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown in illustration.
    • Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

  3. Install the oil pan. Refer to OIL PAN .
  4. Install the timing drive components. Refer to TIMING DRIVE COMPONENTS .
