Removal and Installation

- Remove the luggage compartment lid trim panel.
- For convertible vehicles, remove the luggage compartment lid lock cylinder. For additional information, refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LID LOCK CYLINDER - CONVERTIBLE .
- For convertible vehicles, remove the luggage compartment lid lock cylinder actuating guide clip and pull the cable out from behind the luggage compartment trim panel.
- Disconnect the luggage compartment lid latch electrical connector.
- Remove the 3 luggage compartment lid latch nuts.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
- Remove the luggage compartment lid latch.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
