- Using the Bearing Puller and a press, remove the countershaft rear bearing.
- Using the Bearing Puller and a press, remove the countershaft front bearing.
- Inspect the countershaft.
- Check the countershaft surface for wear or damage. Install a new countershaft as necessary.
- Check the gear teeth for wear, pitting, scoring, spalling or fractures. Install a new countershaft as necessary.
- Using the Bearing Oil Seal Plate and the Bearing Tube Remover/Installer, install the countershaft rear bearing.
- Using the Drive Pinion Bearing Cone Installer and the Bearing Tube Remover/Installer, install the countershaft front bearing.
