DTC P24A0: Closed Loop DPF Regeneration Control At Limit: Temperature Too Low

DTC P24A0: CLOSED LOOP DPF REGENERATION CONTROL AT LIMIT: TEMPERATURE TOO LOW

Description:  The PCM monitors the exhaust gas temperature bank 1, sensor 2 (EGT12) sensor to make sure that diesel oxidation catalyst exit temperature is high enough to complete a regeneration. This DTC sets when the difference between the expected and actual diesel oxidation catalyst exit temperature exceeds 20°C (36°F).
Possible Causes: 
  • Fuel injection concern
  • Damaged diesel oxidation catalyst
  • Biased EGT12 sensor
  • Biased exhaust gas temperature bank 1, sensor 4 (EGT14) sensor
Diagnostic Aids:   
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to PINPOINT TEST RC .
