DTC P0219: ENGINE OVERSPEED CONDITION
| Description: | This DTC sets when an engine overspeed condition is detected. Under normal conditions engine overspeed is prevented by reducing the injected fuel mass but can happen if the engine is running by oil ingestion. To prevent short engine overspeeds from setting the DTC, the overspeed must last for a greater time period than a calibrated limit. | ||

| Diagnostic Aids: | The DTC indicates the vehicle has been operated in a manner which caused the engine speed to exceed 4, 000 RPM for greater than 3 seconds. | ||
