Audible Parking Aid

When the transmission is in REVERSE (R), the audible parking aid system sounds a warning tone to alert the driver to objects detected behind the vehicle. The warning tone rate is proportional to the distance from the rear bumper to the object that has been detected. The parking aid system may not detect angular or moving objects.
The audible parking aid system consists of the following:
- Four ultrasonic parking aid sensors, located in the rear bumper
- Parking Aid Module (PAM), located in the instrument panel above the LH cowl side trim panel near the parking brake control
- Parking aid speaker (attached to the PAM)
