Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the lower steering column shroud. For additional information, refer to STEERING COLUMN .
  2. Disconnect the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) transceiver electrical connector.
  3. Using a suitable tool (such as a dentist pick), unclip the 2 tabs and remove the PATS transceiver.
  4. NOTE: Replacement of the PATS transceiver does not require the Integrated Keyhead Transmitters (IKTs) keys to be programmed into the Body Control Module (BCM).

    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
