Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes - 6.8L: Installation

- Install the rear transmission fluid cooler tubes in the vehicle and connect the transmission fluid cooler tubes to the transmission case.
- Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Connect the solenoid body electrical connector.
- Tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
- Position the starter motor wiring harness bracket on the stud.
- Position the cables and install the starter solenoid terminal eyelet nuts and ground cable stud bolt.
- Tighten the ground cable stud bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Tighten the starter battery terminal nut to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
- Tighten the starter solenoid terminal nut to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
- Install the starter motor terminal cover.
- Position the transmission fluid cooler tube assembly bracket on the stud and install the nut.
- Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
- Connect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
- Install the front transmission fluid cooler tube assembly in the vehicle and attach the pin-type retainer to the frame rail.
- Connect the transmission fluid cooler tube assembly.
- Install the front transmission fluid cooler tube secondary latches.
- Connect the front transmission fluid cooler tube to the OTA fluid cooler.
- Install the lower air deflector and 3 pushpins.
- Install the remaining 3 pushpins in the lower air deflector.
- Connect the front transmission fluid cooler tube to the radiator in-tank cooler.
- Position back the A/C condenser and install the 2 bracket bolts.
- Tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
- Install the radiator grille. For additional information, refer to EXTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
- Fill with transmission fluid and check for leaks.
