Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes - 6.8L: Installation

Install the rear transmission fluid cooler tubes in the vehicle and connect the transmission fluid cooler tubes to the transmission case.
- Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

Connect the solenoid body electrical connector.
- Tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).

Position the starter motor wiring harness bracket on the stud.

Position the cables and install the starter solenoid terminal eyelet nuts and ground cable stud bolt.
- Tighten the ground cable stud bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Tighten the starter battery terminal nut to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
- Tighten the starter solenoid terminal nut to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).

Install the starter motor terminal cover.

Position the transmission fluid cooler tube assembly bracket on the stud and install the nut.
- Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

Connect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
Install the front transmission fluid cooler tube assembly in the vehicle and attach the pin-type retainer to the frame rail.

Connect the transmission fluid cooler tube assembly.

Install the front transmission fluid cooler tube secondary latches.

Connect the front transmission fluid cooler tube to the OTA fluid cooler.

Install the lower air deflector and 3 pushpins.

Install the remaining 3 pushpins in the lower air deflector.

Connect the front transmission fluid cooler tube to the radiator in-tank cooler.

Position back the A/C condenser and install the 2 bracket bolts.
- Tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).

Install the radiator grille. For additional information, refer to EXTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
Fill with transmission fluid and check for leaks.
