Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes - 6.2L: Installation

  1. Install the rear transmission fluid cooler tube assembly in the vehicle and connect the rear transmission fluid cooler tubes to the transmission case.
    • Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

  2. Position the transmission fluid cooler tube assembly and starter motor wiring harness brackets on the stud and install the nut.
    • Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

  3. Connect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  4. Install the front transmission fluid cooler tube assembly in the vehicle and attach the pin-type retainer to the frame rail.

  5. Connect the transmission fluid cooler tube assemblies.

  6. Install the front transmission fluid cooler tube secondary latches.

  7. Connect the front transmission fluid cooler tube to the OTA fluid cooler.

  8. Install the lower air deflector and 3 pushpins.

  9. Install the 3 remaining pushpins in the lower air deflector.

  10. Connect the front transmission fluid cooler tube to the radiator in-tank cooler.

  11. Position back the A/C condenser and install the 2 bolts.
    • Tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).

  12. Install the radiator grille. For additional information, refer to EXTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
  13. Fill with transmission fluid and check for leaks.
