Automatic Transmission - 6.2L: Notes

NOTE:
Do not attempt to backflush and clean the Oil-To-Air (OTA) transmission fluid cooler. Install a new OTA transmission fluid cooler as part of a transmission overhaul or exchange. Failure to follow these directions may result in transmission damage.
The automatic transmission fluid cooling system consists of the following:
- Upper transmission fluid cooler tube to quick connect
- Lower transmission fluid cooler tube to quick connect
- Quick connect secondary latches
- Front transmission fluid cooler tube assembly
- In-tank transmission fluid cooler
- Auxiliary OTA transmission fluid cooler
- Hose clamps
The transmission fluid flows from the lower transmission fluid cooler tube on the transmission, through the transmission fluid cooler tube assembly to the in-tank transmission fluid cooler. The transmission fluid flows from the in-tank transmission fluid cooler to the OTA transmission fluid cooler and returns through the upper transmission fluid cooler tube to the transmission.
