DTC P2118: Throttle Actuator A Control Motor Current Range/Performance

P2118 - THROTTLE ACTUATOR A CONTROL MOTOR CURRENT RANGE/PERFORMANCE

Description:  This DTC sets when the current necessary to operate the throttle actuator control (TAC) motor is higher than a calibrated limit.
Possible Causes: 
  • TAC motor is damaged
  • TAC motor harness circuits are short together
  • Obstruction in the throttle plate movement
Diagnostic Aids: 
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to PINPOINT TEST DV .
