Muffler and Tailpipe: Installation

NOTE: Do not excessively bend, twist or allow the exhaust to hang from the flexible pipe or damage to the exhaust system may occur.
NOTE: Do not use oil or grease-based lubricants on the isolators. These lubricants may cause deterioration of the rubber. This can lead to separation of the isolator from the exhaust hanger bracket during vehicle operation. Use only water-based lubricants on the isolators.
  1. Position the muffler and tailpipe in the vehicle.
    • Attach the 4 muffler and tailpipe isolators.
  2. Tighten the Torca® clamp retainer.
    • Tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
  3. Start the engine and check for exhaust leaks.
