Exhaust Y-Pipe: Installation

NOTE: Exhaust fasteners are of a torque prevailing design. Use only new fasteners with the same part number as the original. Torque values must be used as specified during reassembly to make sure of correct retention of exhaust components.
  1. Install the exhaust Y-pipe with new nuts and gasket and hand-tighten all fasteners.
    • Attach the exhaust Y-pipe isolator.
  2. Evenly tighten the 2 new exhaust Y-pipe-to-LH catalytic converter manifold nuts.
    • Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
  3. Evenly tighten the 2 new exhaust Y-pipe-to-RH catalytic converter nuts.
    • Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
  4. Tighten the Torca® clamp retainer.
    • Tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
