Catalytic Converter - RH, AWD: Removal

NOTE: Do not excessively bend, twist or allow the exhaust to hang from the flexible pipe or damage to the exhaust system may occur.
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, REFER to JACKING AND LIFTING for lifting points.
  2. Detach the 3 retainers and remove the splash shield.

  3. Remove the RH CMS. REFER to CATALYST MONITOR SENSOR - 3.5L TI-VCT
  4. Remove the exhaust Y-pipe. REFER to Exhaust Y-Pipe .
  5. Remove the Transmission Support Insulator - Anti Roll AWD. REFER to TRANSMISSION SUPPORT INSULATOR -- ANTI-ROLL AWD .
  6. Rotate the engine forward.
  7. Remove the 4 nuts and the RH catalytic converter.
    • Discard the 4 RH catalytic converter nuts and gasket.
