Pinpoint Test

1. Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.

Are any DTCs recorded? 

1. Yes: For DTC U0140:00, REFER to Diagnostic Routine AV: U0140:00 .

   For DTC U0424:82, REFER to Diagnostic Routine BC: U0424:82 .

   For all other DTCs  , REFER to DTC Chart: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .

2. No: GO to 2  .

1. Using a scan tool, perform the HVAC module self-test.

Are any DTCs recorded? 

1. Yes: For EMTC, DTC CHART: HEATING VENTILATION AIR CONDITIONING (HVAC) MODULE - ELECTRONIC MANUAL TEMPERATURE CONTROL (EMTC) ,

   For DATC, REFER to DTC CHART: HEATING, VENTILATION, AND AIR CONDITIONING (HVAC) MODULE - DATC .

2. No: GO to 3  .

1. Using a scan tool, perform the PCM KOEO self-test.

Are any ambient temperature sensor DTCs recorded? 

1. Yes: REFER to SECTION 3: SYMPTOM CHARTS .
2. No: The system is operating correctly at this time. The condition may have been caused by a heat soak concern.
