Window Glass - Rear: Removal
- Remove rear wiper motor. REFER to WIPER MOTOR - REAR WINDOW .
- Remove the liftgate spoiler. REFER to SPOILER .
- Disconnect the 2 liftgate window defrost electrical connectors.

Wear protective gloves when handling components or parts that have pointed or sharp edges. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.NOTE: To avoid rust formation, use extreme care not to scratch the paint or primer, or otherwise damage the pinch weld during glass removal.NOTE: Lubricate the existing urethane adhesive with water to aid the 300-AST1770E while cutting.NOTE: Insert the blade into the 300-AST1770E so that the flat side is against the glass. This will leave the entire urethane adhesive bead on the pinch weld and allow a dry fit of the replacement rear glass.Using the 300-AST1770E , begin cutting the urethane adhesive at the top center and work toward the bottom corners.
- Using the 300-AST1770E , cut the remaining urethane adhesive and remove the rear window glass.
