Pinpoint Test
- CHECK REAR PASSENGER WINDOW OPERATION FROM THE LH FRONT WINDOW CONTROL SWITCHNOTE: Make sure the LH front window control switch is in the UNLOCK position.
- Ignition ON.
- Attempt to operate the rear passenger windows from the LH front window control switch.
Do the rear passenger windows operate from the LH front window control switch?
- Yes: GO to 2 .
- No: For Base, REPAIR circuit CBP01 (BU) for an open.
For XLT or Limited, GO to 3.
- CHECK THE LH FRONT WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH LOCK-OUT CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: LH Front Window Control Switch C504 (XLT, Limited) or C535A (Base).
- Disconnect: LH Rear Window Control Switch.
- Measure:
LH Rear Window Control Switch LH Front Window Control Switch C701 C535A (XLT, Limited) or C535A (Base) Pin Circuit Measurement / Action Pin Circuit 5 CPW14 (VT/WH) 3 CPW14 (VT/WH)
Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?
- Yes: INSTALL a new LH front window control switch. REFER to Window Control Switch .
- No: REPAIR the circuit.
- CHECK THE REAR WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH POWER FEED FOR AN OPEN OR SHORT TO GROUND
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: BCM C2280D.
- Disconnect: LH Rear Window Control Switch.
- Measure:
LH Rear Window Control Switch Ground C701 Ground Pin Circuit Measurement / Action Pin Circuit 1 CBP01 (BU) - Ground - Measure:
LH Rear Window Control Switch BCM C701 C2280D Pin Circuit Measurement / Action Pin Circuit 1 CBP01 (BU) 27 CBP01 (BU)
Is the resistance greater than 10, 000 ohms between the window control switch and ground; and less than 3 ohms between the window control switch and BCM?
- Yes: INSTALL a new BCM circuit breaker 48 (30A).
- No: REPAIR the circuit.
