Seat Track: Removal

NOTE: For parts identification and location, REFER to Seat - Exploded View, Front .
  1. Remove the safety belt buckle and pretensioner. REFER to SAFETY BELT BUCKLE AND PRETENSIONER .
  2. Remove the seat backrest. REFER to Seat Backrest .
  3. Remove the seat cushion cover. REFER to Seat Cushion Cover .
  4. If equipped, remove the seat cushion TED. REFER to Seat Cushion Thermo-Electric Device (TED) .
  5. If equipped, remove the DSM. REFER to Driver Seat Module (DSM) .
  6. If equipped, remove the DCSM. REFER to Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM) .
  7. Remove the seat position sensor in the following sequence:
    1. Disconnect the seat position sensor electrical connector.
    2. Pull the locking tab downward to disengage.
    3. Slide the seat position sensor backward to disengage and remove it from the seat track bracket.
  8. NOTE: Note the wire harness routing for installation.

    If equipped, disconnect the cushion heater mat electrical connector, located at the front of the seat track, and separate the wire harness retainer.

  9. Remove the cushion foam pad from the cushion frame.
  10. NOTE: Using excessive force when bending the bracket can damage the OCSM housing.

    For a passenger seat, separate the OCSM from the bracket in the following sequence:

    1. Slide an appropriate tool in the slot between the OCSM and bracket.
    2. Carefully lift the tool end to bend the bracket tab and slide the OCSM off the bracket.

  11. For a passenger seat, detach the OCS bladder pin-type retainers.

  12. NOTE: Power seat track on top, manual seat track on bottom.

    For a passenger seat, route the OCSM and hose through the cushion support wires.

  13. Remove the 3 screws and 2 pin-type retainers and remove the LH and RH seat track covers.
  14. NOTE: Note the seat cushion wire harness routing for installation.

    Remove the seat cushion wire harness.
