Pinpoint Test

CHECK FOR A BROKEN RETURN SPRING
1. Remove the interior door handle. REFER to Interior Door Handle - Front or REFER to Interior Door Handle - Rear .
2. Pull and release the interior door handle.
Does the interior door handle return to a closed position once released?
- Yes: GO to 2 .
- No: INSTALL a new interior door handle. REFER to Interior Door Handle - Front or REFER to Interior Door Handle - Rear .
CHECK THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE CABLE OPERATION
1. Remove the door latch release cable.
2. Observe the door latch release cable for any damage or binding.
Is the door latch release cable OK?
- Yes: INSTALL a new door latch. REFER to Front Door Latch or REFER to Rear Door Latch .
- No: REPAIR as necessary.
