Pinpoint Test

1. Open and close the front doors and liftgate while checking the courtesy lamp operation.

Do the courtesy lamps operate correctly? 

• Yes: GO to 2  .
• No:

  REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE A : The Courtesy Lamps Do Not Illuminate With a Door Open,

  REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE B : The Courtesy Lamps Do Not Illuminate With The Liftgate Open, or

  REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE J : All The Courtesy Lamps Stay On Continuously.

1. Ignition ON.
2. Using a scan tool, view the BCM PIDs  .
3. Monitor the BCM PID (IGN_SW_STATE).

Does the PID indicate RUN? 

• Yes: GO to 3  .
• No: REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE C : No Power in RUN - Vehicles with an Ignition Switch.

1. Check the operation of the speedometer.

Does the speedometer operate correctly? 

• Yes: ENABLE the autolock feature. REFER to Autolock Programming .
• No: REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE G : The Speedometer Is Inoperative.
