Pinpoint Test
- VERIFY THE DOOR LOCK OPERATION FROM THE DOOR LOCK CONTROL SWITCH AND IA KEY
- Press the lock and unlock button on a door lock control switch and IA key while observing the door lock operation.
Are the door locks inoperative from both the switch and IA key?
- Yes: GO to 2 .
- No: If the door locks are inoperative from the door lock control switch, REFER to Diagnostic Routine D: All Door Locks Are Inoperative From One Switch .
If the door locks are inoperative from the IA key, REFER to Diagnostic Routine J: The Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Transmitter Is Inoperative .
- VERIFY ALL DOOR LOCKS ARE INOPERATIVE
- Press the lock and unlock buttons from a door lock control switch while observing the door locks.
Are all the door locks inoperative from both switch positions (lock and unlock)?
- Yes: GO to 3 .
- No: CHECK the symptom(s). REFER to Symptom Chart: Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems - Electrical .
- CHECK THE RFA MODULE DOOR LOCK RELAY SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR VOLTAGE
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: RFA Module C2153C.
- Measure:
RFA Module Ground C2153C Ground Pin Circuit Measurement / Action Pin Circuit 5 SBP27 (BU) - Ground
Is the voltage greater than 11 volts?
- Yes: GO to 5.
- No: VERIFY the BCM fuse 27 (20A) is OK. If OK, GO to 4 . If not OK, GO to 7 .
- CHECK THE RFA MODULE DOOR LOCK RELAY VOLTAGE SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect: BCM C2280A.
- Measure:
RFA Module BCM C2153C C2280A Pin Circuit Measurement / Action Pin Circuit 5 SBP27 (BU) 12 SBP27 (BU)
Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?
- Yes: GO to 8.
- No: REPAIR the circuit.
- CHECK THE RFA MODULE GROUND CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect: RFA Module C2153D.
- Measure:
RFA Module Ground C2153D Ground Pin Circuit Measurement / Action Pin Circuit 1 GD214 (BK/BU) - Ground
Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?
- Yes: GO to 6 .
- No: REPAIR the circuit.
- CHECK THE ALL LOCK CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect: RH Front Door Latch.
- Measure:
RFA Module RH Front Door Latch C2153D C609 Pin Circuit Measurement / Action Pin Circuit 2 CPL11 (GY/BN) 4 CPL11 (GY/BN)
Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?
- Yes: GO to 9.
- No: REPAIR the circuit.
- CHECK THE ALL LOCK CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND

NOTE: If the BCM fuse 27 (20A) fails immediately upon installation, repair circuit SBP27 (BU) for a short to ground.
Install a new BCM fuse 27 (20A).
- Operate the door lock actuators by pressing lock on the door lock control switch.
Is the BCM fuse 27 (20A) OK?
- Yes: REPAIR the driver door or passenger door unlock circuit for a short to ground.
- No: REPAIR the all lock circuit for a short to ground.

- CHECK FOR CORRECT BCM OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect and inspect all BCM connectors.
- Repair:
- corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
- Reconnect the BCM connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
- Yes: CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs . If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new BCM. REFER to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) - WITH INTELLIGENT ACCESS (IA) .
- No: The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
- CHECK FOR CORRECT RFA MODULE OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect and inspect all RFA module connectors.
- Repair:
- corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
- Reconnect the RFA module connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
- Yes: CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs . If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new RFA module. REFER to REMOTE FUNCTION ACTUATOR (RFA) MODULE .
- No: The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
