Pinpoint Test L

  1. VERIFY THE VISUAL PARK AID IS ENABLED
    1. Verify that the visual park aid is enabled using the FDIM.

    Is the visual park aid is enabled in the FDIM? 

    • Yes: GO to .
    • No: ENABLE the visual park aid.
  2. CHECK FOR DTCs  FROM THE PAM SELF-TEST
    1. Ignition ON.
    2. Using a scan tool, perform the PAM self-test.

    Are any PAM DTCs present? 

  3. CHECK FOR DTCs  FROM THE BCM SELF-TEST
    1. Ignition ON.
    2. Using a scan tool, perform the BCM self-test.

    Are any BCM DTCs present? 

  4. CHECK FOR CORRECT VIDEO CAMERA OPERATION
    1. Disconnect the video camera connector.
    2. Check for:
      • corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
      • damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
      • pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
    3. Reconnect the video camera connector. Make sure it seats and latches correctly.
    4. Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.

    Is the concern still present? 

    • Yes: INSTALL a new video camera. REFER to Video Camera .
    • No: The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by the video camera connection. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
