Pinpoint Test
- RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs
FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes: For DTC U0121:00, REFER to Diagnostic Routine AU: U0121:00 .
For all other DTCs , REFER to DTC Chart: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .
- No: GO to 2 .
- RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs
FROM THE ABS MODULE SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the ABS module self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes: REFER to DTC CHART: ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE .
- No: GO to 3 .
- CHECK FOR THE KEY TYPE
- Check if the key is the MyKey® programmed key or an administrator key. Refer the Owners Literature.
Is the key an administrator key?
- Yes: GO to 4 .
- No: If the MyKey® AdvanceTrac® on feature is configured always on, the system is normal. The stability-traction control system cannot be disabled when the AdvanceTrac® on feature is configured always on.
If the MyKey® AdvanceTrac® on feature is not configured always on, GO to 4 .
- CHECK THE TRACTION CONTROL SETTING THROUGH THE MESSAGE CENTER
- Using the LH steering wheel switch, navigate to the traction control setting menu and observe the traction control setting.
- Configure the stability-traction control on then off again.
Does the traction control selection change when the feature is configured on and off?
- Yes: GO to 5 .
- No: INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .
- CARRY OUT THE IPC INDICATOR LAMP CONTROL ACTIVE COMMAND USING THE SCAN TOOL
- Ignition ON.
- Using a scan tool, view the IPC PIDs .
- Select the IPC stability-traction control disabled indicator (sliding car OFF icon) PID (STAB_TC_LMP). Command the stability-traction control disabled indicator (sliding car OFF icon) on and off while observing the stability-traction control disabled indicator (sliding car OFF icon).
Does the stability-traction control disabled indicator (sliding car OFF icon) illuminate when commanded on and turn off when commanded off?
- Yes: INSTALL a new ABS module. REFER to ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE
- No: INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .
