Camshaft Roller Follower









Removal and Installation

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.

2. Remove the LH and RH valve covers. For additional information, refer to Valve Cover- LH Valve Cover - LH and Valve Cover- RH Valve Cover - RH.

3. Remove the LH and RH spark plugs.

4. Remove the RH splash shield.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).


5. Rotate the crankshaft until the camshaft lobe is pointing directly away from the roller follower.

6. Using the Valve Spring Compressor, remove the roller followers.





7. NOTE: Lubricate the camshaft followers with clean engine oil.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
