Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) Transceiver









Removal and Installation

1. With the ignition lock cylinder in the ON position, press the ignition lock cylinder release button with a suitable tool and pull the ignition lock cylinder out of the steering column.

2. Remove the 3 screws and the lower steering column shroud.
- Remove the tilt column handle (if equipped).


3. Remove the upper steering column shroud.

4. Pulling firmly in a rearward direction, remove the steering column opening cover.

5. Disconnect the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) transceiver electrical connector.

6. Remove the screw and the PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System) transceiver.

7. NOTE: Replacement of the PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System) transceiver does not require the PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System) keys to be programmed into the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) again.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
