Cooling Fan Motor and Shroud - 3.5L GTDI: Installation
- Install the cooling fan motor and shroud and the 2 bolts.
- Tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).
- Connect the LH HO2S electrical connector.
- Attach the HO2S connector retainer to the bracket.
- Attach all the wiring harness retainers to the cooling fan and shroud and radiator grille support.
- If equipped, attach the block heater wiring harness retainers to the engine wiring harness.
- Install the crankcase vent tube quick connect coupling. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION Article.
- Install the CAC adapter gasket, adapter and the upper bolt.
- Do not tighten the bolt at this time.
- Install the lower bolt for the CAC adapter.
- Tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
- Tighten the upper CAC adapter bolt.
- Tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
- Install the RH CAC tube.
- Tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
- Install the ACL outlet pipe and ACL assembly. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM & INTAKE AIR FILTERING SYSTEM Article.
- Attach the lower radiator hose retainer to the cooling fan and shroud.
- Connect the LH CAC tube to the CAC adapter.
- Tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
- Install the underbody shield and the 4 retainers.
- Connect the cooling fan motor electrical connector.
NOTE:
Align the marks for the RH CAC tube.
