Removal and Installation

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Jacking and Lifting Service and Repair.

2. Remove the oil level indicator.

3. Remove the 2 bolts and the oil level indicator tube and discard the O-ring seal.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

4. NOTE: Apply clean engine oil to the new O-ring seal prior to installation of the indicator tube.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Install a new O-ring seal.
