Parking Brake Cable - Front

Removal and Installation

1. NOTE: Make sure the parking brake control is fully released.

Release the parking brake cable tension. For additional information, refer to Parking Brake Cable Tension Release Procedures.

2. Remove the LH fender splash shield. For additional information, refer to Front End Body Panels Fender Splash Shield.

3. Disconnect the front parking brake cable from the parking brake intermediate cable at the cable union.

4. Compress the clip and separate the front parking brake cable and conduit from the frame bracket.

5. Disconnect the front parking brake cable from the parking brake control.





6. Compress the clip and disconnect the front parking brake cable from the parking brake control.
- Remove the front parking brake cable.

7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Make sure the front cable is routed through the loop on the spool.
