Wheel and Tire - Dual Rear Wheel (DRW): Removal

- If equipped, remove the wheel cover.
- Check the torque for all the wheel nuts. If any wheel nuts have a torque above 312 Nm (230 lb-ft), install all new wheel studs on that wheel hub. For additional information, refer to REAR SUSPENSION article.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
- Remove the wheel nuts.
- Remove the outer and inner wheel and tire assemblies.
CAUTION:
Do not use heat to loosen a seized wheel nut. Heat may damage the wheel and wheel bearings.
NOTE:
On vehicles equipped with 19.5-in and larger wheels, use Rotunda Heavy Duty Wheel Dolly 014-00030 or equivalent to aid in the remove of the wheel and tire assemblies.
