Pinpoint Test Ag: The Headlamps On Warning Chime Is Inoperative

AG1 CHECK THE SAFETY BELT WARNING CHIME OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Monitor the safety belt warning chime when the ignition switch is transitioned from OFF to RUN for 6 seconds.
- Does the safety belt warning chime operate for approximately 6 seconds?
  - Yes : GO to AG2.
  - No : INSTALL a new IC. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (IC) .. TEST the system for normal operation.
AG2 CHECK THE EXTERIOR LAMPS OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Place the headlamp switch in the PARK or HEADLAMP ON position.
- Do the headlamps or parking lamps operate?
  - Yes : GO to AG3.
  - No : REFER to EXTERIOR LIGHTING SYSTEM article.
AG3 CHECK THE DOOR AJAR WARNING INDICATOR OPERATION
- Ignition ON.
- Open then close the LH front door while observing the door ajar warning indicator in the IC message center.
- Does the door ajar warning indicator operate correctly?
  - Yes : GO to AG4.
  - No : GO to PINPOINT TEST X .
AG4 CARRY OUT THE HEADLAMP ON WARNING CHIME ACTIVE COMMAND USING THE SCAN TOOL
- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: IC DataLogger.
- Select the IC door ajar warning chime (CHIME_H_LMP) active command. Command the headlamp on warning chime on.
- Does the headlamp on chime sound?
  - Yes : INSTALL a new SJB. REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES article. TEST the system for normal operation.
  - No : INSTALL a new IC. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (IC) .. TEST the system for normal operation.
