Pinpoint Test G: The Driver Window Control Switch Illumination Is Inoperative

NOTE: Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
  1. G1 CHECK THE OPERATION OF THE DRIVER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH 
    • Operate the window control switch from the driver window control switch.
    • Do the windows operate? 
  2. G2 CHECK FOR VOLTAGE TO THE DRIVER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH USING THE CONNECTOR GROUND 
    • Ignition OFF.
    • Disconnect: Driver Window Control Switch C504.
    • Ignition ON.
    • Measure the voltage between the driver window control switch C504-3, circuit CBB36 (GY/BU), harness side and the driver window control switch C504-15, circuit GD133 (BK), harness side.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    • Yes:  INSTALL a new driver window control switch. Refer to WINDOWS & GLASS - GLASS, FRAMES & MECHANISMS . TEST the system for normal operation.
    • No:  REPAIR circuit GD133 (BK) for an open. TEST the system for normal operation.
