Pinpoint Test G: The Driver Window Control Switch Illumination Is Inoperative
NOTE:
Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
- G1 CHECK THE OPERATION OF THE DRIVER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH
- Operate the window control switch from the driver window control switch.
- Do the windows operate?
- Yes: Go to G2 .
- No: Refer to WINDOWS & GLASS - GLASS, FRAMES & MECHANISMS to continue diagnosis of the power window.
- G2 CHECK FOR VOLTAGE TO THE DRIVER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH USING THE CONNECTOR GROUND
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: Driver Window Control Switch C504.
- Ignition ON.
- Measure the voltage between the driver window control switch C504-3, circuit CBB36 (GY/BU), harness side and the driver window control switch C504-15, circuit GD133 (BK), harness side.
- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
- Yes: INSTALL a new driver window control switch. Refer to WINDOWS & GLASS - GLASS, FRAMES & MECHANISMS . TEST the system for normal operation.
- No: REPAIR circuit GD133 (BK) for an open. TEST the system for normal operation.
