Removal and Installation

  1. Apply the parking brake.
  2. Place the selector lever in the NEUTRAL position.
  3. Remove the selector lever trim ring.
  4. Remove the floor console finish panel in the following sequence.
    1. Lift upward and open the storage compartment lid.
    2. Lift the floor console finish panel upward to release the retaining clips.
    3. If equipped, disconnect the electrical connector.
  5. Position aside the LH and RH floor console trim panels in the following sequence.
    1. Pull the middle and rear of the LH and RH floor console trim panels outward to release the retaining clips.
    2. Pull the front of the LH and RH floor console trim panels downward to detach the trim panel from the pin-type retainers.
  6. Remove the RH instrument panel finish panel. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL - RH  in this information.
  7. Remove the 6 center instrument panel finish panel screws.
  8. Remove the center instrument panel finish panel in the following sequence.
    1. Pull the center instrument panel finish panel rearward to release the retaining clips.
    2. If equipped, detach the in-vehicle temperature sensor from the instrument panel center trim panel.
    3. Disconnect the electrical connector(s).
  9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Make sure to align the retaining clips to the adjacent retaining clip holes.
