Transmission Control Module (TCM): Removal

Remove the battery and battery tray. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
Remove the Air Cleaner (ACL) and the outlet pipe. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION AND FILTERING .
Disconnect the wiring harness from the ACL assembly bracket.

Remove the battery tray bracket nuts, selector lever cable bracket bolt and the battery tray bracket.

Remove the wiring harness from the transaxle housing.

Detach the wiring harness clips from the Transmission Control Module (TCM).

Disconnect the 2 TCM electrical connectors.

Remove the 4 bolts from the TCM .

Using a suitable flat blade screwdriver, carefully pry the TCM free from the transaxle, at the location shown in illustration, and remove the TCM , discard the O-rings.
