Symptom Chart: Parking Aid - Video

SYMPTOM CHART - PARKING AID (VIDEO)

Condition Possible Sources Actions
  • The rear video is inoperative
  • Fuse
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors
  • Video camera
  • Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM)
  • Body Control Module (BCM)
  • The Front Display Interface Module (FDIM) displays PLEASE CHECK SURROUNDINGS FOR SAFETY and a black screen/no image or displays an error message
  • Fuse
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors
  • Video camera
  • Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM)
  • Body Control Module (BCM)
  • NOTE: It may take up to 30 seconds before the message is displayed on the Front Display Interface Module (FDIM).

REFER to Diagnostic Routine I .
  • Static/flashing/blinking/flickering/scrolling or rolling image/screen/scrolling horizontal lines
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors
  • Video camera
  • Poor image quality (foggy/cloudy/fuzzy/blurry/hazy image or moisture/water in lens or black spots)
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors
  • Video camera
  • Manual zoom function is inoperative
  • Manual zoom feature is disabled
  • Video camera
  • CARRY OUT the video camera configuration using the scan tool under Body > RVC Configuration.
  • REFER to Diagnostic Routine I .
  • The visual park aid alert is inoperative
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors
  • Video camera
  • Body Control Module (BCM)
  • Parking Aid Module (PAM)
  • CARRY OUT the video camera configuration using the scan tool under Body > RVC Configuration.
  • REFER to Diagnostic Routine L .
  • Fixed guidelines are not displayed on the video image
  • Fixed guidelines feature is disabled
  • Video camera
  • CARRY OUT the video camera configuration using the scan tool under Body > RVC Configuration.
  • REFER to Diagnostic Routine M .
  • Active guidelines are not displayed on the video image
  • Video camera not configured after replacement
  • CARRY OUT the video camera configuration using the scan tool under Body > RVC Configuration.
  • Active guidelines feature is disabled
  • Steering wheel position data error
  • Video camera
  • Video camera delay feature is inoperative
  • Video camera delay feature is disabled
  • ENABLE the video camera delay feature within the Front Display Interface Module (FDIM).
  • All other image concerns
  • Video camera
