Pinpoint Test

  1. CHECK THE MESSAGE CENTER OPERATION
    1. Close all doors, hood and liftgate.
    2. Ignition ON.
    3. Open the driver door while monitoring the message center displays.
    • Does the message center display DRIVER DOOR AJAR? 
    1. Yes:  GO to 2  on page 2.
    2. No:  INSTALL a new Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) .
  2. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) FROM THE Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) SELF-TEST
    1. Using a scan tool, perform the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) self-test.
    • Is Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) U0121:00 recorded? 
    1. Yes:  REFER to Diagnostic Routine AU .
    2. No:  GO to 3  on page 2.
  3. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) FROM THE Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) MODULE SELF-TEST
  1. Using a scan tool, perform the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) module self-test.
  1. Yes:  REFER to DTC CHART: ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE .
  2. No:  INSTALL a new Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) module. REFER to ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE .
