Output Shaft Seal: Removal

NOTE: This procedure applies to vehicles equipped with automatic transaxles.
  1. Remove the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) rear output shaft flange. For additional information, refer to OUTPUT FLANGE  in this service information.
  2. Remove the deflector.
  3. Using a suitable tool, remove the PTU  output shaft oil seal.
